Terms of Service

1. What Locktopus is, and what it is not

Locktopus is a sports betting data and analytics tool. We collect odds from sportsbooks and exchanges, compare them, and show you where prices differ from the rest of the market.

We are not a sportsbook. We do not accept wagers, hold funds, or settle bets. We are not affiliated with the sportsbooks whose odds we display. Nothing on the site is betting advice, and no output is a prediction or guarantee of any outcome. Every bet you place is your decision and your risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old to use Locktopus, and old enough to bet legally where you are before acting on anything you see here. You are responsible for knowing the law in your jurisdiction. Sports betting is not legal everywhere, and being able to read our data is not permission to wager.

If gambling is causing you harm, help is available in the US at 1-800-GAMBLER.

3. Your account

• Accounts are for one person. Do not share your login, and do not resell, sublicense or provide access to the service to anyone else.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• You must give accurate signup information and keep it current.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, including duplicate accounts created to obtain repeated discounts or trials.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on the interval you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We do not provide partial refunds for unused time on a period you have already paid for. If something has gone wrong, email us and we will look at it.
• We may change prices with notice. A price change never applies to a period you have already been billed for.
• Promotional codes and partner discounts apply as stated at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively.

5. Odds data and accuracy

Odds, lines, player props and derived numbers come from third-party data providers and from the books themselves. Feeds can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and a price can move or disappear between the moment we receive it and the moment you act on it.

Always confirm the price at the sportsbook before placing a bet. We are not responsible for a bet placed at a price different from the one shown here, for a market that turns out to be unavailable, or for a book voiding or repricing a wager.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the service, or access it by any automated means we have not authorised in writing.
• Redistribute, republish or resell our data, including reposting boards or feeds as your own product.
• Reverse engineer the service, or attempt to access accounts, systems or data that are not yours.
• Interfere with the service's operation, including load that degrades it for other users.
• Use the service to break the law or the terms of any sportsbook you bet with.

7. Our content and yours

The service, its interface and everything we publish on it are ours or our licensors', and using Locktopus grants you no ownership in any of it. Odds data is licensed to us by our providers, which is why section 6 limits what you can do with it.

Anything you submit — saved preferences, tracked bets, messages to the assistant, feedback — remains yours. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service with it, and to use anonymised, aggregated data derived from it to improve the product.

8. The AI assistant

The in-app assistant sends your messages to Anthropic to generate a response. Do not put anything confidential in it. Its answers are generated and can be wrong; treat them as a starting point, not as advice, and verify anything you would act on.

9. Third-party services

The service links out to sportsbooks and other third parties, and relies on processors to operate. We do not control those services, we are not responsible for their content or conduct, and their terms govern your relationship with them.

10. Availability

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may perform maintenance without notice. Live odds depend on upstream feeds that can fail independently of us.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost bets, lost profits, gambling losses, lost data, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated version, and we will change the date at the top when we do. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
